Don't you miss the good old days?
It's been a long time since I penned down my thoughts. There were too many things running in my head and didn't know how to word them out.
This time it's more of a question that I have in my mind, I want to ask you all 'don't you miss the good old days?'
No, this isn't an interview question but seriously if I may ask you 'where do you see yourself 10 years down the line?'
I see myself using an app that delivers a boyfriend in 30 mins, or I get one free. Oh yeah! Not funny, I'm pretty sure there would be a bunch of some IIM guys sitting down and brainstorming on this concept!
What have we become? Slaves and heartless fools who toil day and night for things which don't even mean anything. We spend time and efforts on items that carry no value.
We have apps for every f***ing thing. Need a cab? > Apps
Need groceries?> Apps
Want to play a game? >Apps
Need a date?> Apps
Need a husband? > Apps
Huh!
How I miss those days when we used to value time and relationships!
The days when a 50p candy gave me more happiness than a 1000 rupees burger.
The days when I had to wait and earn a thing and not just order one online.
The days when we used to make cards to wish each other new year's and not just on WhatsApp.
The days when we used to wait for one person and not look for a hundred options on hundreds of websites.
The days when spending time meant more than posting about it on social media.
Look at the irony that even this note; I'm posting on social media.
No doubt, things have become more convenient now; but things have complicated so much more.
Our thoughts, our lives- so mechanical.
It's become easier to move on and optional to hold on.
We are so spoiled with options.
Options for everything and opportunities for everyone!
We play with people's emotions, and we play with people's lives.
Faking happiness has become more common than sharing joy.
Changing relationship status and posting mushy state and pictures on Facebook is more important than conveying feelings in a person.
Our generation of techno freaks and emotional fools!
What's your story?

Don't you miss the good old days?
Well written as usual. One must wonder whether the new form of passive interaction over social networks is really impairing our natural social skills and our humanity. Good article

DeleteHey, nice thoughts! However, you can work on your articulation a bit more as the article is not flowing in a stream right now. Moreover, please proofread your article before you publish because unnecessary or wrong punctuation and glaring errors could kill the zeal of reading the article further. Hope this will help. Good luck!
